Structural Technician

We are seeking a Civil / Structural Engineering Technician to join our team in a varied and hands-on role. The successful candidate will assist the design team throughout the construction process, including the preparation of technical drawings and site-based engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of engineering drawings using AutoDesk software

• Supporting the design team throughout construction projects

• Undertaking site visits, surveys and monitoring

• Assisting with engineering problem solving

• Liaising with clients, contractors and professional teams

Essential Criteria

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work within a professional office environment

• Willingness to undertake site visits and practical engineering tasks

Desirable Criteria

• Valid driving licence and access to transport

• GCSE qualifications in Maths and Science

• BTEC National Certificate in Building & Construction (or willingness to undertake the qualification at the Guernsey College of Further Education)
